I recently booked Calibar Roadshow for my brothers wedding, I have to say the whole dealing with a Dj experience was something I really wasn't looking forward to. Main reasons because of past experience with dj's is that their arrogant, can't string a conversation together without saying innit every five seconds and generally they play the opposite of what you want to listen to while drinking free booze and eying up women.

Anyway we had the Dj Taj roadshow from Calibar and would like to swallow all my bad words about Dj's well Calibar anyway. This guy spoke the queens english was clear on the mic, interacted with the crowd, he was smart, played some excellent bhangra, hindi and was especially good that he played some of the greatest rare grooves.
I was initially looking to book DJ H after meeting him at a friends party he was also very good. But he was already booked.
I highly recommend DJ Taj and his crew were very professional and smart as well. Thanks for an extra special party dude.

I agree that Calibar Roadshow have been the market leaders, well as long as I can remember. However, I recently called up the office asking to book DJ H for next May and the guy told me that he could not guaruntee him at my function, which I found a bit strange as this has never happened in the past, only to find out two days later from my cousin that DJ H has left the company along with a few other of the DJ's. I found it really dishonest that the guy at the office lied to me so I wouldn't go anywhere else. So if you speak to this guy be careful because as far as I'm aware the main DJ's from Calibar aren't there anymore and they're subcontracting any old Joe with a pair of decks to their parties.

I have been running the Calibar office for the past 17 years and felt the need to reply to this review. We do not know who Mohinder is and who he has been speaking to at our office but we would never guarantee a specific DJ that was not part of our roadshow and nor do we subcontract any of our bookings and contrary to what this Gentleman is saying most of our main DJ teams have not left the company but are playing a major part in pushing things forward. We have six main teams who have been with us for a number of years and are the most experienced DJs we have had in the last decade these are DJ Jatty, DJ Rags, DJ Dips/Anup, DJ Taj, DJ Gurps and DJ Suki/Indy all well respected and very well known to our client base and the Industry. We have been in the DJ business for over 25 years and have always maintained a very high quality, punctual and professional service. We are highly recommended by all event companies including Madhus, Ragamama, Premier Rouge, Laguna, Sapna, Bespoke Banqueting, Baylis House, Haveli, Sukhdev's, Five Rivers, Sanjay Foods, Mahirs etc as well as publications such as Asiana Wedding and Viya Magazine and these companies get to see our guys in action on a very regular basis so there is no way we will ever compromise our long standing reputation in the market by sub contracting or sending any "old joe" to a function as Mohinder put it.
